The Tournament will run for a period of 4 weeks, Submissions start on Feb 1, 2015
The Entry Fee is $10. The fee is payable on entry and is non-refundable.
DJs must submit a 2 minute mix video (mp4). Any special effects or post edits to videos and/or mp3 will be automatically disqualified. DJs may ad a “lower third” to their video but it must contain the name of the DJ, City, and Hashtag #MixMadness. Any Submission timed over 2min (yes even 2:01) will automatically be disqualified.
Entrants are allowed to use the following hardware/software
Vinyl Turntables with timecoded LPs
Individual Digital Turntables with Crossfader.
Any 2-Platter DJ controller
Serato DJ (Pro version)*
Traktor (Pro version)*
Virtual DJ (Pro version)*
*Sampling pads are for breaks, loops, and sound effects. Samples/effect must NOT contain any DJ techniques including but not limited to Scratching, transforming, juggling, etc. All DJ techniques must be performed by DJ. Only 2-Deck Submissions please.
Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of Professional DJs to determine the 16 DJs to start the tournament on March 5th Live on C1 Radio Show on 88.7 FM WNHU & www.c1radioshow.com Each Thursday night @ 10pm EST one round will be played on the air then placed on C1 Radio’s website for Fan voting. The Panel of DJs will Score with a 66% percent factor Giving the audience 33% of the vote. The voting polls will stay up for 48hrs and the Winners will be notified the following Sunday to prepare for the next round.
Criteria will be given to the DJs after the round of 16. the criteria will vary per contest per pair. Some of these include but are not limited to: Themed song sets, Scratching, Acapella Mashups, music blends, and more.
Registered users may enter, this is done by filling out the entry form, which includes, providing a youtube link to their performance and 3 photos (Headshot, Body shot, performance) and providing the information requested – This includes the option to add an audio track
C1 Radio reserves the right to ask any entrant to modify their entry, or to remove it entirely
Under normal circumstances it is not possible to change you entry information after it has been submitted although if a genuine error has been made, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Entrants are responsible for transportation to the venue in Las Vegas to compete for the Final Round should they Advance. All Entrants should factor this in BEFORE submitting the entry fee for this competition.
Music must be GOSPEL in content. secular instrumentals are ok for element purposes only. Any profanity, racial slurs, or other offensive language or materials will result in automatic disqualification without refund.
All information which you provide must be true and complete – we reserve the right to disqualify entrants if we have reason to believe their information is incorrect, they are not eligible or that they have cheated.
The winners are responsible for contacting the sponsors and arranging for the delivery of any prize.

The cash prize will be awarded to the Last DJ Standing at the Rock The Radio event in Las Vegas

If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, C1 Radio/Rock The Radio reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, modify or terminate the Competition or any part of the Competition
